Budgets and Finances

 The Township of West Lincoln provides a responsible and balanced approach to budgeting and managing municipal finances. Once the annual budget is approved, Council receives quarterly financial updates from staff, and at the completion of the year, the Township’s finances are audited by an independent firm.

2025 Budget

The Township is committed to a transparent budget process and to providing information in an easy-to-understand format. OpenBook presents budget data using charts, tables, graphs and maps. Below you can find important information related to the 2025 Budget.

Council will discuss the 2025 Operating and Capital Budget at the following scheduled meetings:

• Presentation of the 2025 Budget Process and Schedule was presented at the Administration/Finance/Fire Committee meeting on Monday, September 16, 2024.
• Presentation of the 2025 Draft Operating and Capital Budget to be presented at the Council meeting scheduled for Monday, January 27, 2025.
• Final 2025 Operating and Capital Budget to be presented and discussed at the Administration/Finance/Fire Committee meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 18, 2025, with an additional date set for Wednesday, February 19, 2025, if required.
• 2025 Capital and Operating Budget to be ratified at the Council meeting scheduled for Monday, February 24, 2025.
• A 2025 budget engagement survey will be launched in the fall of 2024, allowing the public to share their thoughts regarding the 2025 budget online.
