The Township of West Lincoln offers many drop-in programs for adults, seniors, children and youth. All drop-in programs are held at the West Lincoln Community Centre located at 177 West Street in Smithville. 

Drop-in Programs

Drop-in programs are unstructured physical activities that are open to all levels and abilities.

Registration/Waiver - Do you need to register? YES. Once per year (January to December). All participants, including children and adults, must complete a Drop-in Registration/Waiver Form to participate. The Form must be signed by a parent/guardian if the participant is under the age of 18. Forms are available at the Community Centre or online: Drop-in Registration Form. If you have any questions about a Drop-In Program, please call Recreation Services 905-957-3346 ext. 4688 or email us.

Youth Open Gym Drop-In (max 25) - Drop in for gym fun with friends facilitated by Recreation Staff.  Adults are not permitted to participate, but may stay to watch. Thursday's Youth Open Gym is FREE, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of West Lincoln.

Family Open Gym Drop-In (max 30) - Unstructured Drop-In play for families. Children/youth under 17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian (18+) who remains in the gym to participate with their children. Activities and equipment will be monitored to provide a safe environment. Drop-In Fees apply to everyone.

Volleyball 18+ (max 30) - Unstructured Drop-In volleyball for adults of all skill levels. Play must be inclusive and respectful.

Dodgeball 18+ (max 30) - Unstructured Drop-In dodgeball for adults of all skill levels. Play must be inclusive and respectful.

Beginner and Advanced Pickleball 18+ (max 30) - Please attend these programs as they best fit your level of play. Play must be inclusive and respectful. These are non-instructional drop-in programs.

Older Adult Social 55+ FREE - Drop in for casual activities and socialization. Coffee, cards, crokinole, table tennis and conversation. Attendees must be inclusive and respectful.

Ukulele Jam Session 55+ FREE - Drop in for a non-instructional ukulele jam session. Bring your own uke and jam out with your friends. All levels are welcome.  Attendees must be inclusive and respectful.

Summer Walking Track Hours FREE - Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday closed. 

Fall Walking Track Hours FREE - Monday to Sunday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. beginning September 3, 2024.

Cancellations - From time to time, Drop-In Programs will be cancelled due to holidays, special events or facility needs. Please check this website or the Community Centre Reception for updates and information on program cancellations.

Facility Etiquette

Please follow our facility etiquette to help keep the gymnasium safe and enjoyable for everyone.

  • Indoor shoes only in gymnasium
  • Locker rooms are available for use
  • No food or drink allowed in the gymnasium except water
  • No horseplay, swearing, boisterous activity or noise pollution
  • Facility users must put gym equipment away after use
  • Facility users must treat each other and staff with respect
  • Discrimination and/or harassment of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in immediate removal from the Community Centre

Staff may ask participants to leave if facility etiquette guidelines are not being met.

Participants have the option of paying a single use drop-in fee or purchasing a discount card.
