West Niagara is home to a large community hospital with both inpatient and outpatient services. There are also many long-term care facilities and medical clinics available.

REACH Haldimond-Norfolk

Haldimand-Norfolk REACH is a multi-service agency, providing children’s mental health services, developmental services, Autism services, youth justice services, family services, a residential program for transitional-aged youth and several early learning and care services including EarlyON Child and Family Centres and Community Action Program for Children. REACH serves as the Lead Agency for Haldimand Norfolk Children’s Mental Health Services and the Student Nutrition Program in the Hamilton/Niagara Region. Through our Contact Division, the agency serves as the single point of access for children’s and developmental services.

West Lincoln Community Care

West Lincoln Community Care has partnered with a Mental Health Counsellor, offering free sessions to economically disadvantaged individuals.

Families for Addiction Recovery

Families for Addiction Recovery is a national charity founded by parents of children who have struggled with addiction from their teens. Their goal is long term recovery for those with addiction and their families.

  • Parent-to-parent support for families struggling with addiction.
  • A voice for families to influence government policy.
  • Educating community groups, health care providers and law enforcement about addiction, health laws and drug policies.

Mom's Stop the Harm (Support Network)

Moms Stop the Harm (MSTH) is a network of Canadian families impacted by substance-use-related harms and deaths.

Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (St. Joseph's Hospital)

The Rapid Access Addiction Medicine (RAAM) Clinic serves those with substance abuse issues, primarily addictions to opioids and alcohol.  The purpose of the clinic is to provide quick access to care for addiction issues, including assessments, counselling and prescriptions for medications that may help with lessening cravings and withdrawal symptoms. The RAAM Clinic will also help patients to navigate access to other addiction services in our community and provide support through transitions.

Young Adult Substance Use Program (St. Joseph's Hospital)

Mission to provide young adults with the support and skills to:

  1. Reduce the negative impacts of substance use on young adults’ lives. This can be abstinence, reductions in use, or using harm reduction strategies.
  2. Improve mental health and wellbeing by considering the whole-person.
  3. Increase engagement in substance-free activities and create a life that is pleasurable and aligned with their values and goals.

Two separate streams:

  1.  A Young Adult Stream (for people aged 17 – 25 seeking help)
  2. A Loved Ones Stream (for immediate, extended or chosen parents and family or close friends and partners)
