What is iNaturalist?
iNaturalist is an online social network of people sharing biodiversity information to help each other learn about nature. Participants can enjoy nature while making important discoveries that will help scientists better understand and protect nature. Visit iNaturalist.ca to learn more.
How to Get Involved
Download the free iNaturalist app on your mobile device, join the Explore Nature in West Lincoln project, then head out into nature to document your observations. Find information about the beautiful parks and trails West Lincoln has to explore.
What to Capture
Photos of species can include almost anything - living, dead, or otherwise. Plants, animals, fungi, slime moulds, scat, fur, tracks, shells, and even carcasses can be submitted.
