The Township of West Lincoln is pleased to announce that, after a comprehensive recruitment process, Cynthia Summers has accepted the position of Director of Community and Protective Services.
As Director of Community and Protective Services, Summers will oversee the delivery of programs, events, parks and facilities. She will also support business processes, long-range planning and analysis with the Township’s Fire Services and liaise with Niagara Regional Police Services.
Summers brings extensive operational oversight experience and expertise in the development of multi-year strategic plans and delivering complex business plans and budgets. She comes to the Township from the Windsor Essex Community Housing Corporation where she was responsible for the operation and oversight of the fourth largest social housing provider in Ontario. Summers was also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Guelph-Humber where she taught Alternative Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management.
Summers holds a Master of Social Work degree with a specialization in Social Welfare Policy and Administration along with a Bachelor of Arts, Political Science from McMaster University.
