West Lincoln Now Offering Marriage Licences

West Lincoln couples looking to join in matrimony no longer need to go out-of-town to make it legal. The Township of West Lincoln is now offering marriage licences.

Marriage licences are issued by the Township Clerk’s department, by appointment, during regular operating hours at Township Administration, 318 Canborough Street, Smithville. The marriage licence fee is $130, payable at the appointment.

Prior to the appointment, applicants must email a completed marriage licence application form, along with copies of two pieces of valid identification for each partner, to the Clerk’s department for review. Additional documentation is required if one or both partners have been previously divorced. The original application form, identification and accompanying documents must also be brought to the appointment.

Any applicant without access to a computer, printer and/or scanner may also pick up a paper application and drop off the necessary documents at Township Administration in advance of their appointment.
