West Lincoln Mayor to Host New Year’s Levee

For Immediate Release:  November 29, 2023

The Township is pleased to announce that Mayor Cheryl Ganann is establishing a brand new community tradition in West Lincoln: an annual New Year’s Levee.

This family-friendly reception will be held on the first Saturday in January every year, beginning in 2024, and will include free public skating and light refreshments featuring delicious treats that nod to some of the cultural traditions in West Lincoln. This year’s treats will include Timbits, small Greek pastries and Oliebollen. The Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee will be in attendance to help serve guests.

Residents are invited to join the Mayor and members of Council at the West Lincoln Community Centre, at 177 West Street, in Smithville, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 2 to 4 p.m., to exchange pleasant greetings and best wishes for the new year.
