West Lincoln Certifies 2022 Election Results

West Lincoln’s results from the 2022 Municipal and School Board Election have been certified by the Clerk. The Township’s official Council representatives for the 2022-2026 term are:

Incoming Council members will be sworn in at West Lincoln’s Inaugural Council Meeting on Monday, November 21, 2022, beginning at 7 p.m. at the West Lincoln Community Centre, 177 West Street, Smithville.

School Board

It is important to note that the following School Board results are from West Lincoln voters. These results have been certified by the Township Clerk, however, they must still be combined with votes from the Township of Wainfleet (English Public Trustee) and with the Town of Grimsby and the Town of Lincoln (English Separate Trustee). Final results for these races are expected to be updated on Wednesday, October 26, 2022.

Voter Turnout

West Lincoln saw an increase in voter turnout when compared to its 2018 Municipal and School Board Election. This year, 43.55% of 12,727 eligible voters hit the polls, whereas 38.46% of 11,633 eligible voters turned out in 2018. The Township would like to thank every resident who made the choice to participate in the democratic process by voting.
