West Lincoln Appoints Interim CAO

For Immediate Release: January 31, 2024

At the regular Council meeting on January 29, West Lincoln Council appointed Donna DeFilippis as the Township’s Interim Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) effective immediately until a permanent CAO is appointed or until July 31, 2024.

DeFilippis has served as the Township’s Director of Finance/Treasurer for 11 years and 3 years as Deputy Treasurer prior to that. She has worked with 5 Councils, has guided the Township through the development of 14 budgets, and has been integral in leading the transformation of the Township's budgeting and financial enterprise systems.

DeFilippis began her career as an Auditor at Ernst & Young (EY), focusing on small and medium business clients, before moving into the Public Sector, where she held leadership roles in the Education Sector.

DeFilippis holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce Degree and is a Chartered Professional Accountant.

The process for the recruitment of a permanent CAO is underway. Township Council is committed to finding the best candidate for the role.
