The Township is thrilled to announce that One of These Nights soon, West Lincoln will be living Life In The Fast Lane, as Epic Eagles, the Definitive Tribute to the Eagles, is set to headline the 2023 West Lincoln Canada Day Festival.
The Canada Day festival will take over the Leisureplex Township Park, at 2543 South Grimsby Road 6, in Smithville, from 3 to 10:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 1.
Attractions will include Farmers’ Market, Bubble Force Canada, Hoop Fun Zone, Triple C Petting Farm, 905 Game Zone Gaming Trailer, Spiniko Outdoor Game Zone, plus an adult Cornhole Tournament. Register your team of two by June 23 by emailing recreation@westlincoln.ca or calling 905-957-3346 ext. 4682. Please submit the first and last names of both participants and an appropriate team name. Space is limited and will be first come, first served.
The main stage will feature a BenTastic Magic Show, Fire and Hoop Show, headlined by Epic Eagles and capped off with a spectacular fireworks display by Garden City Display Fireworks.
Epic Eagles is comprised of five musicians who feel privileged to perform the timeless music of the Eagles & Don Henley (solo), performing for huge outdoor and arena audiences, and sharing bills with some of rock’s legends.
Epic Eagles features the voice of Dean Young covering Don Henley, performing alongside the incredible vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Mike Alonzo, covering Glenn Frey, Joe Walsh, Timothy B Schmit, and Randy Meisner, with the amazing Jeff Salem on drums and percussion, Dan Bohemier on bass and keys, and Frank Koren on guitar and vocals.
Parking is very limited on site, so guests are encouraged to skip the drive and take the bus. A free shuttle service will be provided, with pick-up/drop-off points at the West Lincoln Community Centre, the Greek Hall and the Village Square Plaza.
