The Township of West Lincoln wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season. When planning activities, please consider the following holiday hours at Township facilities.

Holiday hours

Township Administration Building: Township Administration will be closed from December 24, 2024, to January 1, 2025, reopening January 2, 2025. Township payments may be left in the drop box located at the rear entrance doors. Please no cash. Sign up for MyWESTLINCOLN, an online platform that allows you to view and manage your property tax, utility and receivable accounts. After you sign up for an account, you can access the self-serve options at any time from any location.

Public Works Operation Centre: The Public Works Yard will be closed December 24 to 26, 2024, and January 1, 2025. It will remain open on December 27, 30 and 31 2024.

West Lincoln Community Centre: The West Lincoln Community Centre, including the Arena and walking track, will be closed December 24 and 25, 2024. The facility will be open on December 26, 2024, between the hours of 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., on December 31, 2024, between the hours of 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and on January 1, 2025, between the hours of 12 and 1 p.m. Regular hours resume January 2, 2025.

On December 26, drop-in Youth Open Gym (for ages 9 to 17) will be available for FREE from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Drop-in Family Open Gym will be available for FREE from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

The Township is also sponsoring many free holiday skating sessions over the winter break. Please visit the Township's Skating and Shinny page to find the full ice schedule.

West Lincoln Public Library: All three West Lincoln Public Library branches will be closed December 24, 25, 26 and 31, 2024, and January 1, 2025. Please visit the West Lincoln Public Library website for complete operating hours.

Holiday reminder

Winter Parking: On-street parking during snow events and/or interfering with snow removal is prohibited in West Lincoln. If you require any information about the Township of West Lincoln Parking By-Law 89-2000, please contact the Municipal Office at 905-957-3346, or the Enforcement Officer by email at ampappeals@westlincoln.ca.

Waste Collection: Waste collection will not take place on December 25 or January 1. During those weeks, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday collections will occur one day later than usual. Residents may set out two extra garbage bags without a garbage tag on their first collection day after December 25. Never miss a holiday collection change. Get reminders with the Niagara Region Waste App or visit Niagara Region Waste Collection. Christmas tree collection will occur on regular collection days from January 6 to 10, 2025.
