Township of West Lincoln Modernizes Council, Committee Meetings with Live Streaming

West Lincoln, Ont. - October 8, 2021

The Township of West Lincoln is modernizing Council and Committee meetings and making Municipal Government more accessible by introducing live streaming, beginning at the Planning/Building/Environmental Committee meeting on Tuesday, October 12, 2021.

Provided through WeeStreem, the new live streaming service will allow members of the public to tune in online and watch Council and Committee meetings live. Links to the meeting live stream feeds are available on the West Lincoln Council Calendar on the Township website. Regular posts will be published on the Township’s social media channels, to remind the public prior to a meeting.

It is important to note that anybody wishing to participate (i.e., provide oral comments to an item on the agenda) at Council and Committee meetings, must be provided a Zoom link by contacting the Clerk or Deputy Clerk in advance.

Requests to make an appointment or presentation at a Council or a Standing Committee meeting can be submitted through the online Request to Speak at a Meeting Form, on the Township website, or by mail to the attention of the Mayor and Members of Council or to the Clerk, at 318 Canborough Street, Box 400, Smithville, ON L0R 2A0. Mailed requests must signed by at least one person and be delivered to the Clerk by 4:30 p.m. 10 days before the meeting in question.

To comment on matters on the agenda, email the Clerk at jscime@westlincoln.ca before 4:30 p.m. on the day of the meeting. Comments submitted will be considered public information and will be read into the public record.

For notifications and important updates, remember to follow the Township of West Lincoln on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram @TWPWestLincoln.
