West Lincoln residents are invited to ring in 2025 with the 2nd annual Mayor and Council New Year’s Levee on January 4. This annual tradition was introduced by Mayor Cheryl Ganann in 2024, as a means to kick off the new year with a sense of togetherness and unity.

The New Year’s Levee includes a family friendly reception, with free public skating, coffee, hot chocolate and pastries. Members of the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Committee will be in attendance to help serve guests.

Come out to exchange pleasant greetings and best wishes for the new year with friends, neighbours and members of West Lincoln Council on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m., at the West Lincoln Community Centre, 177 West St., Smithville.

“The new year brings with it a myriad of sentiments: joy, hope, anticipation for what’s to come and a sense of possibility. What better ritual to commemorate these feelings than to gather together in celebration. I’m looking forward to greeting all of you as we celebrate the beginning of a new year.”
