Parks and Trails

The Township of West Lincoln has more than eight parks for you to discover. Some parks provide a serene and tranquil setting where you can enjoy passive recreational pursuits while others boast a variety of active recreational facilities.

Cleaning up

Please keep your dogs leashed and clean up after them. Children who play in the parks will thank you.

Use our Litter Containers

Garbage containers are located throughout the parks for your use. Please dispose of any wrappers or leftovers properly.

Safety and Hazard Elimination

Our playground equipment and park trees are checked & inspected regularly by staff. If you notice playground equipment that may be unsafe for children or if you notice dead, diseased dying or dangerous trees on park property, contact: 905-957-3346.


Unlawful behaviour and vandalism will not be tolerated in our parks. All vandalism will be dealt with appropriately.


The Township of West Lincoln does not permit motorized vehicles or alcohol in parks unless there is written permission by the Township.

In general our park rules that apply are as follows:

  • Park Hours are 7:00 A.M. to 11:00 P.M.
  • Overnight camping is not permitted.
  • Vendors are not permitted in the park without the written permission of the Township of West Lincoln.
  • Children must be supervised in the park.
  • Motorized vehicles are not permitted in park areas.
  • No person shall bring in, consume or process alcohol in a Township Park. Call the Grimsby Detachment of the Niagara Region Police Services to report alcohol consumption in any park. Contact: 905-945-2211.
  • A Special Occasion Permit can be obtained for events where alcohol will be served. You must obtain permission from the Township of West Lincoln prior to your event. Council must give approval. Contact the Township at least two months in advance.

Our Parks

West Lincoln Community Centre (Fairgrounds) - 177 West Street, Smithville

This site is home to the annual Smithville Fall Fair. The fair is a traditional agricultural fair with horse shows, cattle shows, sheep shows, a baby show, midway, demolition derbies, and a showcase of local entertainment.

Other times during the year the fairgrounds is utilized by the local community for many sporting and family activities.
